We had hired a car to take us to a bird preserve about an hour and a half away from Long Xuyen. After getting lost, sort of asking for directions, and getting lost again, we found the place. They took us out on several long motor boats, motoring through what seemed like the highways of the park, until we reached an area where we would continue on in canoes so as not to disturb the wildlife.
