November 22nd is Thanksgiving day

Thanksgiving morning Monopoly game never really got off to a strong start and was eventually abandoned altogether in favor of watching numerous videos
This is the view from the southern most end of the bridge over Ten Mile River looking eastward
The Ten Mile River estuary is just below our house.
View across the river towards the ocean and northerly
It continued to rain
The whole beach and estuary is part of a state preserve
It was quiet, we had the place to ourselves again as it was raining pretty steadily
View north on the ocean side of the dune
The algae had been loosened by the storm the night before and washed up on the shore in big knots
Are those birds on the beach?
A Monterey cypress looking lonely on the dune
The breakers near the mouth of the Ten Mile River
What's that? It looks like the young ladies are coming to the river!
Yes, that's them in the canoe in the rain!
Landing was an experience, as was the departure with 4 people in the canoe
But, we shoved off and headed back across the river to the Osprey house
Getting ready to "do" the Thanksgiving feast
Brigitte is quietly waiting for her mashed potatoes, her favorite part of the meal
We're digging in and enjoying the company
More meal time fun!

A pix around of the Ten Mile dunes where the river and ocean meet
